Hi -
I am interested in getting Windows 2000 when it comes out this week, but
before I do, I have one question:
If I buy the upgrade version, can I still have the NTFS filing system? I
have no problem wiping my hard drive if needed, but if I get the upgrade
version, I do not know if I will need to install win98 first, therefore
getting stuck with the FAT system.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Please post reply in newsgroup or to my email.

Windows 2000 was originally called NT 5.0. It'll support NTFS. Yet I
don't know if it supports FAT. :) j/k

I'm gonna be getting W2K this week. I intend on duel-booting it with
NT 4 until they get the kinks out of it. Also, I hear that it'll slow
my system down a tad, so I may just use it for things that need Windows
95/98 (DirectX 7.0). Maybe after the first few service packs I'll
commit myself to W2K.

Good luck!
