Wan Setup?

Hello all..

I've been trying without any progess, and I'm sure its to my inexperience. I
have 3 offices that I'm trying to hook up together over a shared WAN. I'm
having great difficulty in doing this. First is there a way to setup without
having an internet domain name? If so is it possible to do this using active
dir? I've tried and always get.. The server you are contacting either cannot
be contacted or is not an active directory or domain controller.. However..
it is. I've heard mention of setting up a VPN but does this allow the User
DB to be automatically updated? or do you have to keep a seperate user DB?
Could someone please point me to some dort of direction or even give a small
hint as to where to go? Links? Helpfiles? How too's?

VPN, A VPN is allows you to tunnel through the Internet your offices are
they seperated how are they connected this will determine how to set up your
network
