Hi, I've a problem it really seems I cannot solve myself so I'd
appreciate every help & tips I can get:
I have a small LAN (about 15 computers) running Win2000 server with
mixed NT/2000 clients. The problem seems to have to do with profiles
since login/logouts from the same computer works fine, however if you
change computers and therefore activates the roaming profiles residing
on the server logins and logout can take very long time... more than
20 minutes isn't unusual!
(The server is a P-3 450, 512 Mb and the average client is 400 Mhz,
128 mb)

I used the Network monitor program in order to trace the traffic
between two computers during such a long login and found out
that just 20-30 Mb (average profile) were transfered between the
server & client, altogether resulting in an average transfer speed of
5k. Given the network is 100mbit and performs 9-10mb/s in Sisoft
Sandra bencmark tests such a low speed seems very peculiar.

I've heard of a few others with similar problems but no solution or
explanation so I'd be really grateful for any help in this matter!
/Anders
