I simply don't manage to configure my IIS Settings for SSL correctly !

Trying to use SSL, I've first of all created a Server Certificate, then I
went to the IIS MMC --> Directory Security --> Edit and have enabled
'REQUIRE SECURE CHANEL'.

The SSL-Port number is correctly set to 443.

But when I use a browser to test the SSL-Connection, there's a DNS Error '
The Page cannot be displayed' (it can't find the page, if I use https://)

If I use http:// instead, it can find it, but of course won't allow to be
requested (because of the IIS Setting 'require secure channel')
( the error-msg displayed: Secure Channel Required
This Virtual Directory requires a browser that supports the configured
encryption options )

What's wrong with my configuration ?

- Win2000 Adv. Server (Final Version)
- ISAPI Filters should be installed correctly
- I'm behind a LAN (Firewall), but Port 443 should be enabled (as I can
access other https:// from here)

Thanks for your help,

P.Class

Phil,

I am having the same problem and I still don't know what is going on.
Can you give me post if you find the solution?

Thanks!
