Wondering if you ever found the cause of your problem as I'm getting the
same
exact error message in win2000. Tried a connection string and dsn
methods neither
worked.

Can you provide a little more information about your connection string?
I'm not sure what your reference to "currency" is, but the double-quotes are
not generally used.

Example:

sConnectStr = "Driver={SQL Server};Server=" & sServer & ";"
sConnectStr = sConnectStr & "UID=" & sUserID & ";"
sConnectStr = sConnectStr & "PWD=" & sPassword & ";DSN=''"

Con.Open sConnectStr, , , adAsyncConnect

Has anyone resolved the ASP error in IIS 5 yet?
I've been having the exact same problem. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Here's what I've
got:

Error Type:
(0x800401F9)
Error in the DLL

The line of code reads:

objConn.Open Session("ygdata")

It just won't seem to process any ASP files
whatsoever.
