Well Arif, even I am new, but may be following check points may help.
* Disable Anonymous authentication... because if this is ebabled, user
security won't work.
* Try giving logon locally permissions to the users.
* Try using the local machine name as the domain instead of the domain
name..

May be it will help.
Good Luck.
Ibrahim

I have answered this question about 30 times tonight... one more time won't
hurt. You want basic authentication enabled. Internet Explorer can manage
NT Challenge/Response but Netscape can't.

So... under the Directory Security tab of the website, make sure that Basic
Authentication is the only box checked. Under the Edit button of Basic
Auth. the box should be blank if you want to use accounts (your admin for
example) that are on the same machine.

Now go to the operators tab for the site and add all accounts/groups that
you want to grant access to.

Finally, please note that you will get at least one "security" error in this
process. Just ignore them as it is the only way to accomplish what you want
and imposes very minimal security risk.

Also remember that Administrators will always have access to websites.
