Trouble with standby mode

Hi.
I have a smal problem with standby mode on my computer.
I have a IBM ThinkPad E600.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the option to put the computer into standby
disapeared.
I have reinstalled ACPI Sleep button, searched the registry, but I don't
know how to get this option back.
Do anyone know how to fix this without reinstalling windows 2000??

Did you install Terminal Services? If you did, the only way to get standby
back is to remove it

No, did not install any Terminal Services.
One day when i "wake up" the computer from Standby and tried to put it back
