I have a Intel Pentium III-550, 128mb, Asus Motherboard.

I've connected 2 A-Open 52speed CD-Rom drives to this pc, now connected as
slave/master on secondary IDE.
Using a Win98 boot floppy I can access both drives, before Windows 2000, NT4
SP5 was installed and both drives worked perfectly.

Using Windows 2000, I see only one of them in the Windows Explorer.

In the Device Manager one of the CD drives has a yello exclamation char in
front of it. I have already tried re-installing drivers, connecting one CD
to the primary and one to the secondary IDE connector, but that doesn't
help.
I also installed Win2000 SP-1.

Nothing seems to help. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I cannot give you the exact line since I don't have that pc here, but what
it comes down to is this :

Reboot the pc to activate the device.

But that obviously doesn't help.

What does it say when you look at the properties for the one with the
problem (the one with the exclamation point)? It obviously can't start
because of some type of conflict.
