Has anyone figured out ANY workaround to get this going in win2k? How about
trying another manufacturer's USB NIC drivers <g>? The 1.25 drivers from
the website have an allusion to nt5 in the .inf but it won't install. I
would love to get this working. Thanks.

USB devices send their unique Manufacturer ID to the OS. This makes it
difficult to adapt drivers from another make USB device. One would have to
do extensive editing of the .inf file. Does not hurt to try though. The
netgear EA101 USB to ethernet drivers from their website will install in
Win2k although the Beta drivers (which you have to request) work better. I
have these on my system and have experienced zero problems with the EA101.
Try modifying the 2Com .inf to change the names of the drivers files to
correspond to the Netgear driver names. Better yet buy a EA101, $40 at
Fry's. When 3Com finally reases their drivers you will have enough for 2
computers. BTW the Linksys USB10T latest drivers wotk with that device but
not as stable as the Netgear
