Greetings,

Running Win2000Server buld 2195. Using the ADSIedit tool I am able to
create a new classSchema and a new attributeSchema. However, I cannot
figure it how to attach the attributeSchema to the classSchema. IOW, I
would like my new class to possess the new attribute. When I go to the
drop down list of required/mandatory attributes, my new one does not
appear there. Furthermore, when I attempt to create a new object of the
type (my new classSchema) it does not appear in that list either. When
I am neglecting to do?

Thanks

Phil

hi phil,
extending the schema works better with the schemaadmin-tool not adsiedit. i
wonder that you´re able to extend the schema with adsi , the version of adsi
i have is read only. ok anyway when you created the class the attribute can
only be added while creating the class. later you only can add it to the
optional attributes.
creating a new object of this class is for the time being is only possible
in adsiedit. to make changes vai gui you must create a display specifier and
create a com object or a context menu.

good luck
