Hi, As I see the "GUID" is a compulsary attribute for the "member" class in the membership directory. Can anyone tell what implications it will have if I change it from "mandatory" to "optional" or still better, remove it from the attributes list? I am using Microsoft's membership directory with Microsoft's site server 3.0 Thanks Vinay

The GUID also doubles up as your SiteServer cookie and this is how Site Server relates to who you are. I haven't tried making GUID optional but I can't imagine it being a very good idea.
