My wife and I have a small webpage that mostly our family logs onto to see
the grandchildren and keep up with our goings-ons. But we have a hit
counter on it and from time to time we will get more hits that we should on
any given day. We aren't trying to hide national secrets or anything, but
not everyone on the net is out there for good intentions.

How can I put a password protect on my website? I have tried a program
called HTML Password Protect and it just doesn't seem to work on my page. I
want it to be a one time log in per visit but it glitches and does a log in
per page and then you can not return to that page without shutting down IE
and restarting.

Does anyone have a program they can recommend??

Thanks.

Depending on what is available on the server, you could use .htaccess,
or you could write/copy-paste a script.
