Hi there,

I've happily (well mostly) been using SourceSafe at my place of work for
nearly 3 years.

But about a month ago it something odd has happened.

Lets say that the working folder of the project I'm working on should be

E:\MyProjects\Project1

Eveytime I open up SourceSafe it resets the top level to

D:\MyProjects\Project

However all the other projects' working directories are still correctly
on the E: drive.

So basicaly every tiem I use VSS I have to reset the working folder for
the project, which is extremely tedious.

Any idea what is going on and how I can fix this?

I've already editted my ss.ini file and removed all the bogus working
directoy settings in there, but it still keeps happening.

Cheers in advance,

Argos

You might try removing all of the working directory settings to try to
track this problem down.

Are you only working with the SourceSafe Explorer, or are you working
with integrations as well (VB, VC++, InterDev)? Is someone else
possibly using your VSS account?

How do you "removing all of the working directory settings"

It would be nice if some instructions came with this advice. Here I am all these years later and Source Safe is still having this issue.
