Install SourceSafe 2005 on Windows 7

Hi - anyone did this successfully?
I get an error during installation of Microsoft Document Explorer:

[09/21/09,10:57:04] setup.exe: [2] CSetupManager::CopyDirectory :
problem copying: C:\Users\benm.NTNET\AppData\Local\Temp

Failed to install setup files
[09/21/09,11:03:27] Microsoft Document Explorer 2005: [2] Error code
1603 for this component means "Fatal error during installation."

Hi Ben,

Please try runing the VSS installer as administrator to see if it works. To
run as administrator, you can right-click setup.exe and click "Run as
administrator".

i tried that... didn't help.
eventually i couldn't install/uninstall anything and went back to xp.
so maybe was a general issue.
i might try again soon... did anyone install it successfully on win7?

I can install VSS 2005 successfully on Windows 7. Please try downloading and
running VSS again to see if it works.

Thanks!! i had luck on my 2nd attempt as well. I think something else
corrupted my msi installer before...
