Setup (vs60wiz) fails with "setup has encountered a problem and needs to
close", and even the /gc switch fails to produce a log file.
I've tried running ACMBOOT directly as suggested by various articles, but it
displays the following message and quits:
"You must first run the Installation wizard before running this setup."
I've searched the newsgroups and found several posts from people that had
similar problems, but no resolution. I do keep stumbling across references to
an MS-supplied utility that is meant to resolve this setup issue (apparently
by allowing ACMBOOT to run), but no information on how to obtain it.
Any ideas, anyone?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Alain

Is there anything that can be done to get the setup file to run?
That file needs to run in order for the installation to take place, or so
it seems...
Thanks for your support guys.
