I'm having a nighmare at the moment with Windows 2000. The story is this, I
have an asp web site using a VB6 DLL running on the server which uses MTS
and RDS (and a SQL sever database). In NT this web site runs like a dream
and the DLL can be run in debug mode from within VB6 in order to use the
more advanced debugging features available. I have recently moved from NT 4
to Windows 2000 and although the asp works fine off the installed DLL, as
soon as the VB6 debugger is used on the DLL the asp can no longer create
objects.
I have managed to narrow the problem down a bit by discovering that this
problem only occurs when RDS is initialised using JavaScript and NOT
VBScript.
Does anyone know why this might be as after a day and a half I'm begining to
think it is a bug in Windows 2000....
Cheers,
Snapper.
