Hello All,

I need the Windows Component Update, in order to install VS.NET Beta 2.
Where can I get it?

Thanks,
Jerome Smith

Depends how you got VS Beta 2. It is included with the CD sets we sent out
and on the DVD (in the folder \wcu). THe CD is labeled "Windows Component
Update". If you downloaded it from the MSDN page, the WCU is a download
there as well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, Ray.
I purchased VS Beta 2 from Microsoft. However there is no \wcu folder on any
of the 4 CDs. Looking forward to your help.

Jerome

If you got Beta2 on 4 CD's then it should be on one of the CD's labeled
VisualStudio.NET .NET Framework Beta 2 , Windows Component Update. At least
that is how it is labeled on the set I received.
And you access the CD from CD 1 and the Setup Program that is on CD 1. It
will give you the option to install Windows Component Update and after it
goes through all of the installation of the update, then go back and re-run
the Setup again and then Select Visual Studio.Net installation.

James is correct. One of the 4 CDs is labeled "Windows Component Updates".
Although, setup will continue automatically after the update and prompt you
for disks as you go.
