modify one record with UPDATE statement

Hello,
I'm working with VB6, ADO model and ORACLE Server.
Two clients open the same recordset at startup application.
The client 1 modify one record with UPDATE statement. When the Client 2
try to modify the same record an error occurs.
"The record was modified from the last read ..."

The application operate in client-server environment.
Do you know how resolve this problem and how the connection properties
must be configured ?
