Is there a version of visual sourcesafe that goes along with visual
studio.net 2.0 or higher? If so, what is it called?

I know about team foundation server, but I work for a small company and
they do not need expensive tool like team server foundation? Is there a
'smaller' version of sourcesafe?

Thanks!

jazzydance,

VSS 2005 is the last release of Visual SourceSafe from Microsoft. If
you go this way, please make sure you patch it w/ the VSS 2005 Update -

Hi jazzydance,

I recommend you try SCM Anywhere, which is a SQL-based SCM solution.
It supports integration with Visual Studio, Eclipse and MSSCCI IDEs.

You can check it here:
