Can a Visio file be saved to a .doc or PDF file? If so,
how is it done?

I have someone that wants to view a Visio chart, but
doesn't have Visio software on their PC in order to open
the visio chart. Therefore, is there someway I can save
the document to a .doc or a PDF file for their viewing?

Thank you.

Though it is possible to get your chart into Word and
save as a .doc file, you'd be much better off to Save as
Web Page (I prefer to output in the VML format).

You can also create a .pdf file but you will need a the
means to do so--pdf creation application, of which many
exist--which is not provided by the Visio application.
Search the web for pdfFactory and/or pdf995 (free trial
versions with nag implications) or simply "pdf printer"
and sort through the hits until you find one you like.
Of course you could always resort to Adobe Acrobat for
the defacto application.

YOu can download a Visio Viewer that doesn't require a
licencse(sp). Just have them download it and install it
on their computer. They should be able ot read the files
then!
