Scanning documents into Visio

Is there a way to scan hardcopy documents into Visio and
then change the drawing? Which version of Visio can
recognize a scan? Is there reasonably inexpensive
software that can do this?

Visio Pro 2002 will Insert|Picture|From Scanner or
Camera. I imagine Standard will also. Uncertain as to
earlier versions.

To change the drawing you essentially have two methods of
erasing: 1) put the image into edit mode (depends upon
the OLE steup of your OS as to whether it will open for
editing in an image editor and which one) and/or 2) mask
unwanted items with Visio shapes. To alter the drawing
simply add Visio shapes to create the desired outcome.
