The change spacing feature has several options, one of which is the Selected
Shape. That should allow you to change the spacing for that shape only. So,
if you have a very friendly Manager, you can change the spacing to just his
subordinates. That will move them and their subs up. You would need to
select all of the 1st tier subs and change their spacings by the opposite
amount to push all of their connected subs back to their original position.
