Visio Error #3400 on action OPEN

Is there anybody having an idea how to solve the problems coming up with an
error by opening a file and getting an error message like

internal VISIO fault #3400
action 1283 opening file

try at first to close the file before reopening. Try to restart the
VISIO program.

The problem happened after a system crash on Windows 2000 and a restart . It
seems to be impossible to open the corrupted file.

Visio Internal Error: #3400
Action 1014: Open Saved File

try at first to close the file before reopening. Try to restart the
VISIO program.

This error too happened on a Win2000 crash. Does anyone have a fix for this
error? I hate to have to redraw this drawing.

I am having a similar error, only mine is with saving the file.

Visio Internal Error #3400
Action 1361: Close Window

This happens everytime we try to save a file after making changes. This is on a
NT 4sp6 machine that is brand new setup.

Any answers would be helpful at this point.

I hope someone has found an answer to this problem.
I am running Windows 2000 with sp1. I have applied the SR1 patch but so far have
been unsuccesful in fixing the problem.
The error reads"
Visio Internal error: #34000
Actio 1004: Save

Any suggestions?
