I get the following errormessage when I try to enter text on a Control
flow in an UML-activity diagram:

"Shape protection and/or layer properties prevent complete execution of
this command"

It works fine with for instance Action-state objects and there are no
protection on the objects or layers as far as I can see...

I've tried to put in a name in the namefiled and then check the Name-
box in "Shape display options" but the checkbox is disabled...

Has anyone got a clue ?

Its a pain in the ass. Were you copying and pasting?

Did you try using the "Shape Sheet"?

Try looking at the protection window and then finding the 1's and set them
to zeros (clicking on the check up top to accept.)

hope this helps

Thanks for the tip !

I unchecked the "LockTExtEdit"-checkbox in the Shape sheet and now I am
able to both paste and type in the name after selecting the "Control
flow"-shape. Next problem was that the name didn't display in the
model... then I realized that it wasn't the name I wanted to type in
and display but the guard, which had been lying there right before my
eyes in the "UML transition properties"-dialog.
