I have Visio Standard 2003 with SP 3 on a Windows XP Professional platform
with SP 3 and all current updates installed. I am trying to print more than
one copy of a multi-page Visio document, and it won't do it. It prints the
first copy and that's all. If I deselect the "collate" option when printing
multiple copies, it will print them just fine, but they won't be collated.
The printer is an HP Color Laserjet 5550dtn with a fair amount of RAM (I
don't remember how much). The same problem arises if I try to print to an HP
Laserjet 9040, which also is a fairly robust printer. I can print multiple
copies of multi-page documents from other applications successfully. I have
deleted the printer AND its driver and downloaded the latest driver from HP's
web site and reinstalled the printer. No improvement. I have tried printing
from an administrator account and a standard user account with no
improvement. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem exactly as described. I have two different
printers, and old HP Laserjet 4 Plus and a new HP Deskjet 5800. Same problem
on both.

After playing around a bit I discovered that if I changed from Portrait to
Landscape in the Visio printer settings that multiple copies printed OK.

Unfortunately the setting is not sticky; you have to do this each time you
want to print multiple copies. I think there is something not right in the
Visio application.
