hello,
I have installed visio 2007 and visio viewer 2007 on the same system. Yet,
when I open a .vsd file, I would like to start the visio viewer 2007 and not
the full version.
Which settings must I configure for starting the .vsd file with the visio
viewer?
Thanks for advice!
Rolf

The Visio 2007 application takes precedence over Viewer 2007, as designed,
and there is no option to change that, either at install time or from the
UI.

You should be able to select a file and choose Open With and change the
default program.

I am curious why you would want to supersede Visio with the viewer.

Just a note - even if you set the "Open With" default, the next time that
you run the full application, the automatic Repair action is likely to
restore the Visio application as the owner of the extension again.

That was why I asked why he needed to do that. ;-) The repair process
resetting the association makes sense.

Anyway I hope you enjoy the day. Hippo birdie two ewe.
