If you pause over the shape with the mouse, the description of the shape
should pop up. Often this will have a hyperlink to get more information
about the shape or its usage. If you are not seeing any pop-ups, you might
need to go to Tools > Options > View tab and make sure "Stencil window
screentips" is checked.

The Stencil window screentips is checked and I only get the name of the shape
without any definition when pause onver the shape. I do not get a definition
like Visio 2000 gives in Visio 2003 Professional.
