Convert Visio 2007 to Grayscale

Poster size VSD files available from Microsoft for printing cost nearly $7
per square foot to print in color versus 75 cents per square foot in black
and white or grayscale.
The printers and plotters are capable of grayscale; we've done this
before...but not from Visio.
When I try to save or publish a 2007 VSD file to either a JPG or PDF file..
the only other print option to to print colors as black.
That pretty much blanks out everything.
I was able to get a kind of grayscale by saving to jpg and then playing with
the color saturation inside MS Picture Manager to create my own grayscale....
but there has to be a better way .. and I just haven't found it....

Even took to a local Kinkos and had them try with there big plotters..
nope.. black and white is the only option available.
I was able to convert to grayscale by converting to TIFF first, but when we
tried to print.. it would only print out certain sections at a time....
I did find a 3rd party software package that will allow me convert TIFF to
PDF so I could get these printed...more money.
Apparently Visio 2007 doesn't provide the capability going to grayscale.
Eevn if yoru printer supports it.... grayscale is not an option (as ai sated
in my initial post)
This is also supported by the warning message I got when I elected to covetr
my VSD files to TFF format that I would lose some contimuity in shaped that
were not compatoible with grayscale.
Shame...."Most signigicant rtelease of office ever.." can't perform a simple
graphics conversion that any number of shareware products can...

grayscale, took less than 2 minutes. Job done.
I have 3 programs here that can do grayscale conversion, 2 of them
free.
You can't expect Visio, or every other program, to provide every
graphic output option under the sun.
PDF output drivers are 10 a penny as well, some of them free.

Then Adobe offers the option to print in grayscale.
I don't have any poster size vsd, so I don't know how well that will work.
File / Publish as PDF or XPS / options allows you to specify current page or page range
(color as black did not achieve the desired result)

Try:
File
Publish as PDF or XPS
(options allows you to choose current page or a range of pages)
Then Adobe provides gray scale as a printing option.
I do not know if this works well for poster-size.
