Does anyone know of a way to import a graphic created with FrameMaker into
Visio?

I tried saving as PDF from FrameMaker and then converting to wmf and
importing. That was pretty bad. It lost all the objects somewhere in the
conversions and ended up recreating objects in a totally useless way. I would
be better off just recreating all the objects manually.

I want some method that preserves the objects created in FrameMaker.

Thanks for any help!

I wouldn't hold out much hope beyond pure graphics formats. Adobe is
as protective of its proprietary formats as any other company.

This might be useful:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=327345 from the
Adobe knowledge base on import / export for Framemaker.

Can you export to an svg format? Visio might fare better with that. It's
not 100% SVG compatible, but it does ok.

Thanks very much WapperDude and Chris: both ideas should help.

I totally forgot that Adobe bought FrameMaker. Their support site had some
very promising info on formats that might work. Its been years since I used
FrameMaker and I have forgotten how to do some pretty simple stuff.

Thanks!
