Is there an autosave feature, like in Word, where the drawing is saved every
N minutes? Thanks.

It's under Options -> Save.

Thanks for the info, but I don't have that option under Tools -> Options.
I'm using Visio Technical 5, and my choices are General, File Paths, Default
Units, Spelling, and Advanced. I couldn't find anything close to "auto save"
in the Help Index or Find. I need this since I often work on networked
files, and it seems like on the slightest network interruption, Visio goes
belly up, and I've lost alot of work. At this point, saving gets an Internal
Error. I tried "save as" another file name, but that still gets the Internal
Error. I tried copying the drawing into another Visio session and file, but
that balks at something, or else I can't get all of the drawing's objects
into their original position. Any other thoughts on some type of automatic,
forced saving? Thanks.

Sorry, but it looks like the Autosave is a new feature.

It should be possible to create a VBA event that is triggered by a timer
that automatically saves your drawing.

Any chance you can upgrade to Visio 2002? It has the Autosave feature. Visio
Professional and Visio Technical have been combined into one product (called
Visio Professional 2002). Another consideration is that currently, you can
upgrade from Visio 5 to Visio 2002, but with the next release, you may need
at least Visio 2000 to qualify for the upgrade. (The next release will not
be out soon)
