Hello,
I have enabled the 'Snap to Dynamic Grid' feature in a Visio 2003 drawing
control but it does not appear to be functioning. (All other snap functions
are working as expected).

After enabling 'Snap to Dynamic Grid', I expect to see lines drawn between
the select shape and any other where their centers align either horizontally
or vertically. These lines never appear....

I have even tried enabling the feature by calling the Visio Snap & Glue
dialog box using visCmdOptionsSnapGlueSetup and enabled the feature there.

Is snap to dynamic grid not supported within the Viio Drawing Control?

I have since upgraded from Visio 2003 to 2007 and it has improved somehwat.
Snap To Dynamic Grid now works normally when dropping a shape from a stencil
to the page, but not when dragging shapes previously dropped around the page.
Once the shape is dropped, no more snap to dynamic grid. None of these issues
exist when dragging shapes on a page opened under the visio application
itself, just in the visio drawing control.....

Hi All,

Follow the below steps to make snap to work,

Stay on Particular Page where you are snap function is not working, Go to menu Window-> Show Shapesheet.

Under Shapesheet, set the InhibitSnap value as False in the Page Properties.

Now, Snap function works fine for your drawing Page.

Hope this will help you..
