But maybe I spoke too soon - on my new A7 (2018) I have Android 10 and the Media feature is now there; I can see the 2 devices I've selected for audio but only 1 at a time can be connected, it's not possible to select both - any ideas? The Media screen is the same as on my other A7 (newer model but same s/w version), but both can be selected (ticked)...

I found out that with the Note 8, I can set up for Dual Audio output, where I can set up Bluetooth devices to be connected to the Note 8 in parallel. This would be ideal if I want to play audio on both my OPN (via the ConnectClip) and the Airpods at the same time.
I'm assuming this is flatly impossible, but has anyone ever heard of or seen a way to implement dual-audio output from within a browser, a la DJ software (user's hardware allowing)? Anything in Flash? Google searches don't seem to be giving me any love on this...
I've created a slide in which the base layer has 5 buttons for 5 separate layers. The base layer has 45 seconds of introductory audio, and its properties are set to show the seekbar and resume saved state.
Now here's the problem: I only listen to a small part of audio on the base layer before I click on a layer and gradually move through all 5 layers. I then move on in the module. When I revisit the interactive slide, my seekbar is stopped where the audio on the base layer was stopped and displays the Play icon, yet the audio and video for the last-viewed layer is currently playing. Because the seekbar/timeline is showing the Play icon, I can't pause the audio on the layer. When I click the Play icon in an attempt to pause the audio on the layer, it actually creates a double audio - playing both the base layer and the continued audio of my layer (and now the seekbar starts to move as the base layer is played).
Hi Greg, yes your summation is correct. It's an interesting and frustrating issue for sure. I don't want to remove the seekbar (which would be a simple solution) because I want to allow the user to pause the audio as desired. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Good idea Meryem! I've added a trigger to each layer to hide the layer when the user clicks Next. It works like a charm to avoid the double audio the first time a user returns to that slide. Of course, after reviewing the slide the user will probably use the menu to change slides and thus by not clicking Next, won't hide those layers. The double audio problem then returns if the user returns to that slide a 3rd time. However, that's probably a low, if not rare, occurrence.
Hi, I am not sure if my issue is exactly the same as the above, I have a base layer with audio and when entering this slide (and before playing the base layer) an slide layer is playing. First visit is working ok but on revisiting base layer and slide layer play at the same time.
Another issue, i would like to solve here, is that i want to prevent the user from clicking the next button for going to the next slide (and this way skipping the audio in the base layer) when the slide layer is playing.
Plus, dreams:
What stops coders from creating an audio middleware that could be playing audio over five devices?
That could mean, not even buying any new speakers anymore, but instead connecting all my old speakers simultaneously.
Im wearing hearing aids, which I connect via BT to my FP3. The HAs put the sound in my ears like any audio plug, too and at the same time the HAs are using their own microfone to record my speach.
But here is actually the problem:
If I connect the HAs to the FP3, this is the only connection. There is no way to use the HAs only for hearing and at the same time to connect another microfone for speaking.
This is actually bothering me for years now. I dont have that problem on my computer since its very easy to decide myself in the (Windows) audio settings which hardware I want to use for sound in and which for sound out.
Hi. If the track is marked as "default" in the media item and you select the option to "Always play default track regardless of language" in your audio language preferences, then that's what you would get.
You can check your MKV files ( I assume that is what you are using) in MKVtoonix and if the the audio track you want to always play is not marked as default you can then mark it as default so the audio track you prefer always also plays by default. Now, if you have a lot of files this can be rather laborious, and you will have to save the file to a new location and then copy it over your existing file.
Only one problem Paul, I have a file open in MKVToolnix header editor because the second audio track is misidentified and I want to change that....but I cannot figure out how to edit anything. For me it appears it is acting as an "header viewer only". Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

As soon as we introduce module for WM8960 our TC358743 codec capture is not working.
Shall we need to add audio related changes of TC358743 in audio DTSI file?
Please guide me on this.
Hello,
I will try to probe the signals of TC358743.
But one thing I am realise now that , here we are dealing with two separate audio codecs means we need to define two separate sound cards for them.
As per observation when first I introduce the TC358743 kernel module it works but when I introduce WM8960 kernel module then WM8960 codec work but TC358743 codec stop recording.
This indicate that when there is nothing define in device tree TC358743 take default audio sound card that why its recording works.
But when I make changes for WM8960 then WM8960 module acquire default sound card and it start working but then TC358743 not getting any sound card because of that its not getting any audio channel for recording.
I checked arecord -l list it shows 19 channels only.
But we cant able to distinguish them which one is for WM8960 and which one is for TC358743.
I think I need to make changes in audio dtsi for WM8960 as well as TC358743.
Can you please give me some reference on, how can I define two sound cards by making audio dtsi changes?
Here they are trying to pass through TC358743 audio capture from one port and send it to other codec which connected to other I2S port.
There they got some patch which suppose to be added in soc-base.dtsi.
I think we also need to do modification either in audio dtsi or soc-base dtsi file. Still I am trying find more reference on this.
If you have some reference then please let me know.
What I thought you would find useful however, was the ability to choose your output, and the ability to adjust the individual volumes of each app that is currently playing sound, its a very useful feature.
Dual audio output on 2 Bluetooth earpods at the same time would be really a cool feature on a portable projector like the ppm. - If internal playback gets smoother with upcoming fw releases and you could connect 2 bluetooth earpods at the same time it would be the perfect device for 2 persons traveling together watching a movie without any additional equipment. Looking forward for this funcitonality to be added.
I'm developing something that I intend to deploy to PCB to incorporate as part of a project I'm working on. I wish to generate two channels of mono audio (seperate tracks), probably from an SD card. File format etc aren't of any real concern, nor do I have any real requirement for particularly good quality (although that's always a plus).
So my question is: Is it possible to set up more audio controllers? For example: My audio player outputs sound to one audio jack (my sound system), and for example web browser or game outputs sound do my headphones ? Is there any driver or soft that allows this. OS:XP , but I can change if some other OS supports it.
Yes. I believe Realtek allows you to separate the front audio and rear audio jacks in their control panel into two visible devices. From there, you simply have to tell Windows which device to send the audio to. Most audio-specific things (games, teamspeak, skype, ventrillo, mumble, etc.) allow you to specify the output device; set your speakers as the system default, and then set applications you want to use your headphones with to use the front audio, and plug your headphones in there.
Since Spresense can only run the Audio.h in the main core. My question is: Is it possible to use two channels of audio input to create the model? All examples I found right now only use one channel of audio input.
Thank you for your kind reply. I checked your code here and it works fine for one channel: Sony Spresense Arduino Code I tried the continuous mode and it seems working fine (Your comment mentioned there is an issue when using continuous mode. I am not sure whether it is related to the update of base firmware) I also have no problem in using multiple mics for multiple audio inputs without the usage of EI.
Based on some replies in the above post, it seems very challenging to support two channels of audio input with one model. For the processing part of audio input, I hope to find the cross-correlation between two channels, however, the replied answer mentioned two processing blocks in one model which means the processing is for each channel separately. Is it possible to find the correlation between channels for feature extraction?
Another question is :
thub.com/edgeimpulse/firmware-sony-spresense our firmware for the Sony Spresense board.
Since dual model/dual channel is not supported out of the box, you can start modifying the base firmware for the Sony Spresense, maybe starting with adding support for dual audio channel (here the audio handling firmware-sony-spresense/ei_microphone.cpp at main edgeimpulse/firmware-sony-spresense GitHub ).
Once your Motion+ is paired to your audio source via BT (phone/tablet etc) press the BT button on your paired speaker once until it flashes white. Power on your second speaker, press the BT button again until you have a flashing white LED, the speakers will then connected together and both show a solid white LED.
