First, you shouldn't need all those protections, turn them off again.
What do you mean by the text getting garbled?
I wonder if you mean that it appears as pale grey blocks?
menu Tools -> Options -> View
and at the bottom in the "Greek text" set it to 4pt or less.
Greek text is nothing to do with the Greek language.

No images allowed here, it's a purely text medium, however, you can
put an image easily on a webpage somewhere and provide a link to it.
Free webspace is 10 a penny.
