when I start a vm with W7 install iso mounted on DVD, it started to install
and then I got

"
Load Driver
------------------
A required CD/DVD drive device drive is missing. if you have driver floppy
disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert now.

Note if the windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can
safely remove it for this step."

what can I do?
I have also tried import on a w7 vhd to get a vm going but the import failed

Hyper-V guests must boot from the IDE emulated device. Hyper-V guests
cannot boot from a SCSI emulated device. Win7 does not have such a boot
driver. Switch the primary disk to an virtual IDE channel and you will be
fine.

thx but I mounted the blank new vhd as system drive on the IDE as well as
the w7 iso on the DVD on IDE channel
there is no skis devices nor controller for the new VM

I am using the Hyper-V on w2008 std SCSI if that makes any difference

Dunno. Haven't seen that one before. Maybe the ISO got mis-copied.
