Hi All,

I am trying to install a virtual machine on to my "windows server 2003"
application server. I use Virtual Server 2005 SP1. The box is a dell
poweredge 1425c on with dual core processor in it.

I saw options to allocated % of CPU usage to virtual machines. But I really
want to dedicate one processor to the virtual machine. In that way I can make
sure it always have a fixed processing power.

I wonder if it is possible?

You can dedicate 100% of 1 cpu, which would be 50% of your dual core
systems processing power.
If you reserve 100% of the cpu power for your VM, then you'll get 100%
of one core.

But how do I select on processor from dual core? My dual core is showing as
one single processor in virtual machine resorce allocation section!
