Hi,
we have a host with an Oracle database.
On this host also runs VS2005R2 with 6 virtual machines. These
VMs has a middleware application which access the Oracle DB.
These access is realized over the loopback adapter. The
access to the middleware in the VMs is via a physical NIC where only
the virtual network services are bound.
Unfortunately I did not find much indepth information for the loopback-
adapter. In general will it be a good idea to use more than one
Loopback Adapter, for spreading the load or does the loopback adapter
use only one stack or something else, even if it is installed multiple
times?

Thanks in advance
Olaf

I don't think that it would be worth making any changes. I would think
that disk access would be the first thing to hit the wall, not network
throughput. Multiple loopback adapters, like multiple NICs, would use the
same IP stack.
