I have a laptop that I have just put windows 7 upgrade on.
I would like to now create a vpc
I would then put a sharepoint environment on it

Since this is my first time with anything virtual I would like to know can I
at anytime during the installation put myself back to the beginning my
reinstalling the windows 7 upgrade so I could start all over. I am just
concerned because this is an upgrade product.

thanks

There is nothing irreversible about virtualization with a host operating system.
The virtual application can be uninstalled, and the virtual machine files simply
discarded.

But if you are thinking of a Windows 7 host, your alternatives are somewhat
limited. See

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Virtual_PC

for an unofficial list of allowed hosts/guests on different Microsoft
virtualization products.

Note that Virtual Server is actively blocked from installing or running on
Windows 7 (though it can be made to work).
