I have Win 2000 installed under VPC, and while it runs fine, it flatout will
not accept new screen resolutions for its display. I R-Click the desktop,
select the new resolution, and it says it has been accepted as normal, but
the actual resolution doesn't change. What is the secret to getting it to
accept a different resolution?

Check the monitor settings, if it's set to default monitor, that could
be the issue. Try changing it to plug-n-play monitor.

Try this:

Go to VPC console, select machine, click 'settings", click display, in the
dropdown choose "use guest operating system screen resolution'.
Start VM, change resolution. Close and restart to VM see if it 'stuck'.
