Unable to verify licensed office 2000 pro

I use original Office 2000 professional and original Windows XP Pro.When i
try the verify the authenticity of the Office,i get "not found in your
system"message.
I get an update notice every time i open or close the computer. When prompt
to do the update i get the "not successful" message for the already
downloaded program
(Siverlight).
Microsoft has stopped to back-up service for Office 2000.
