Hello,
Can one use SSL that is handled by a firewall?

So for example we want to have external clients connecting to
https://update.server.com then the Firewall will unencrypt the SSL data and
forward the traffic on to WSUS server through plain http instead.

Will this work with WSUS 3.0? I am skeptical of it working since the
documentation states that in order to use SSL, you need to enter the intranet
address in the group policy as https:// then we are going to try and forward
unencrypted data to our WSUS server which was expecting it to be encrypted.
Do you see my Logic?

I believe this process is called SSL Termination.

Thanks so much for any insight. Let me know if you need it explained
further. Hope this little text diagram helps:
