I am using WinXP-SP3 on a core2duo machine with a 160GB hard drive. The boot
partition is 40GB in size. During the last few days I've noticed that my
computer is taking a very long time to boot up. All the different stages of
the boot-up process--blank black screen, Intel logo screen, WindowsXP screen
seem to linger for ages before the machine finally boots up. Once it has
completed the process, it seems to work fine.
I would be grateful for suggestions on how I should go about finding a
solution to the problem.
Thanks in advance
