I am developing a software with VC++ 6.0 in which I am using a commercial
activex control for vectorial drawing.
I am running my application on spanish versions of Windows 98 and Me and the
activex control fails when the local version of mfc42loc.dll is present in
the system directory. I saw this also happens with other local versions.

When I delete or change the name of mfc42loc.dll all works ok.

I don´t want to ask the users to do this, so I wonder if there is any
programmatically way to do my application ignores the mfc42loc.dll file.

Thanks.

Gonzalo Rodriguez!

You might want to check out tech note 56 and 57 (you can search for mfc40loc
in the online help) in MSDN. If it is the commercial OCX using mfc42loc.dll,
you might be out of luck, however.
