Users can now pause and resume voice messages while recording them. Whatsapp users will be able to see a new pause option when they start to record a voice message in hands-free mode. Till now, users had to re-record a voice message in case of any disruption.

im currently trying to share the "work" contacts into whatsapp (without pushing whatsapp into the work profile). The application got downloaded manually into the personal profile (from user). If the user opens whatsapp it only show the personal contacts, instead of both (work and personal).
one of the best ways to implement push notifications via android or iOS is with FCM. But its been several years now, that this issue exists about applications not being able to receive notifications when apps are killed by teh user. This issue appears only on android. And the FCM team says it is due to vendors. I've tried a lot of "potential" solutions I found online to resolve this issue, but none of them actually worked. I have read several stack overflow questions about this topic and now I'm kind of desperate.
I do like that, like Skype, WhatsApp lets you toggle between voice calls and text messages without interruption, so you can send images or messages and still talk. Notably, you cannot add more participants, meaning calls are strictly person-to-person. WhatsApp still doesn't support live video chatting, a feature embraced by many modern messengers, including Skype, Viber, and the ephemeral Snapchat.
WhatsApp's solution is fairly elegant. To pair your phone with the website, you send your browser to web.whatsapp.com and tap the WhatsApp Web link from the menu. Then, put the QR code that appears in your browser in view of your smartphone's camera, and like magic the two are paired. Messages will start to flow seamlessly and immediately among your phone, the Web, and the people with whom you are chatting. Though I noticed a few visual bugs, I was very impressed with the smooth, polished feel of the WhatsApp website and hope that this design will also eventually make its way to the WhatsApp app.
WhatsApp clearly warns against the biggest problem with their Web messaging: While connected, your phone is in frequent communication with WhatsApp, shuttling messages to your phone and then back to the Web service. This can run up a lot of data, and WhatsApp advises that you only use the Web service when connected via Wi-Fi. Note also that if your phone loses connectivity for some reason (say you move out of range of Wi-Fi) the Web messenger will cease to function. Messages sent while offline will, thankfully, be re-threaded into the conversation when connectivity is restored.
What's Next for WhatsApp?
If your goal is to greatly reduce (or eliminate) your SMS texting bill, you can go a long way toward that goal with WhatsApp. The recently introduced VoIP features can even trim your need for a voice plan, and the Web messenger makes it even easier to stay in touch with your friends. And you'll almost certainly be pleasantly surprised at the number of friends you already have on the service. If you find yourself chatting with friends overseas, this app might be a prerequisite.
WhatsApp Messenger was recently acquired by Facebook, and while that doesn't mean a big change to the app in the near future, it makes me wonder how Facebook plans to use it. Whatsapp is already incredibly popular around the world, so any news about changes to the app will be watched closely. Should we expect WhatsApp to continue in its current form alongside Facebook's own separate messaging app or will Facebook's offering suddenly have the same features, as Whatsapp rides off into the sunset? It's hard to know at this time, but check back here for more information and an updated review when any new Facebook chat app becomes available.

Hi! I am still having an issue getting any all notifications sent to my new fitbit charge 3. I've gone into the account settings on the fitbit app and into the notifications section, but it won't pair once I get into the notifications section, nor does it give me the option to turn on any notifications in regards to phone calls, text messages, or facebook messenger. So it doesn't give me the option to turn on any of these settings. I have a LG Stylo 4 that has Android 8.1. Please let me know if there is anything I can try.

You change the model and ready you can use whatsapp. Although in other versions higher than android 4.1.1 it may be necessary to use xposed installer.apk and device faker to simulate another android device.
Edited: If you have a cell phone with a camera, you can temporarily configure whatsapp on it, then install whatsie in mxlinux. There it will ask you for the QR code. Use the cell phone to authenticate in whatsie with the QR code. Then you can configure another phone number on the cell phone, deleting the cache of the WhatsApp application, but WhatsApp will already be working.
