Hello,

I wish to know if is possible to stabilish an DDE communication
with the explorer (Not The Internet Explorer or The Windows Explorer).
I mean to talk DDE with the explorer.exe (the program that controls all
the opened windows and programs)

If it's possible, what topics and items are available?
Is possible to make Pokes and and Request to not DDE
applications through the explorer?

Thanks in Advance,

Marc Bonet

Yes, it is possible. The DDE interface is for managing program groups and is
the same as in 16-bit Windows. Look for "Shell Dynamic Data Exchange
Interface" or similar in the help files. That will tell you what topics and
items are available.

No, you cannot communicate with applications having no DDE interface by using
Explorer as intermediate. That is what you were asking, right?
