I have only been able to find examples opposite of my situation so I apologize if this is frequently asked.

Basically, I have around 200gb + and counting everyday of files in a shared company Dropbox with our work emails. I made the mistake of downloading the app and syncing the files to my Mac before realizing what I had done. Since then I have signed out from the application and uninstalled it but still have the Dropbox folder of everything (I believe up to that day) on my computer.

Am I safe to delete this folder now that I have deleted the application? I want to make sure it doesn't remove all of the shared files from the company dropbox that others need. The folder on my hard drive says it was last modified over a couple weeks ago which I believe is when I un-synced the application, and there have been things posted to dropbox since then. I appreciate any help or insight I can get here, thanks.

It turns out my computer was still linked! I must not have logged out properly before uninstalling. Thank you for providing me with that link. After removing my computer from the device list, I'm assuming I'm good to delete the folder now. Thanks for your help here in resolving this.

You can sign out of the app using the steps mentioned here. Once you do that, you should be set to delete your Dropbox folder (just make sure all of your content has been synced and updated on the web).

I cant seem to find a straight answer for this, please help! I joined a team last year that had a shared dropbox account, and I used my team's credentials to login to the dropbox account on my MacBook. I am no longer with the team, however the dropbox files are still showing on my hard drive. I have since logged out of this team account using the dropbox icon on the menu bar, however I still see the dropbox folder on my mac with all of the team's files.

Thanks Megan! I already signed out using the instructions you provided the other person who had a similar problem. I'll try to contact the current admin and have them remove my device from the team dropbox account to make sure I'm ok deleting the folder.

Response: Yes, I believe you can move the AppSheet app folder to the place you wish to stay in your drive through Google drive itself. Of course , the drive needs to be associated with your AppSheet account.

Response: I believe the new app will be created at the default path that you can change as mentioned in the document below .The default app folder path is defined at Account -> Settings option in the editor.

Response: I believe you can rename the folders ( main and the app folders) without distorting the communication with the app. I tried renaming them in the Google drive itself and the app works. I am not aware if Google drive folders can be renamed in the app itself.

I've been using Google Drive for a couple years for our office and hadn't had this problem previously. I'm using Drive for Desktop and when I try to create a new folder in my main drive (G:\Other computers\COLLABO Drive\) it gives me the following error:

This doesn't happen when I create a new folder within any of the current folders I have on the drive, just on the main folder. The same error happens if I try to copy a file to this main folder. I haven't been able to do it through my browser on Google Drive either.

If that's the case, I'll assume that you are trying to create new content in a folder that used to sync with an old computer, so I'd say this is the expected behavior, as you can't sync to that computer anymore.

One of my company's users is running into this same error message after our recent migration from "my drive" to "shared drives". Previous to the migration this employee had been able create, delete, move, ect. files without issue. Now that we are operating out of shared drives he is unable to delete folders and runs into the error listed above.

I'd say that the user has the "Contributor" role. Change it to Content Manager and try again. Or maybe is not a member of the shared drive and you have just shared a folder in a shared drive with that user. But if I had to guess, I'd say it's the first option.

CFTAdmin does the user with the issue have the permissions to the shared drive to create a folder? Do you have license for workspace applied to the user? Perhaps you only have cloud identity? Just trying to guess here. -KAM

User has Content Manager permissions. He has been working on the desktop client for years - it was only until we started using shared drives that this was an issue. Our company had previously been working out of shared folders from one person's "My Drive".

The path you describe (/Users/Library/CloudStorage/GoogleDrive-[email address]/Other computers/My Laptop/) is not correct. You cannot sync the entire laptop. You must specify local folders (one at a time) to sync. For example: /Users/Library/CloudStorage/GoogleDrive-[email address]/Other computers/My Laptop/Downloads

Using a link column means I have to navigate to the folder, find the link, copy it, and then add it in Monday. Using the Drive integration would mean that I can find it the same way I find a file. Super useful.

Hi, With DriveSync integration, you can easily connect your board items and files to Google Drive.

Whenever you create a new item, DriveSync will automatically create a folder for it in Google Drive. Plus, it will make sure that the files from your items get copied into their respective Google Drive folders too. Super convenient!

Hi, I am trying to move an entire folder (with lots of docs, sub-folders and other contents), from the Google Drive of my private Google account, to the Google Drive of my Workspace account. I own both accounts. But since they are not in the same "organization", Google Drive won't let me do it (via the option of sharing the folder with my Workspace email, and then transferring the ownership over the folder to my Workspace email ). You cannot transfer ownership between 2o domains. This is very frustrating, as I need this entire folder in my Workspace drive, and downloading it from one drive, and then uploading it to the other drive will take weeks!! (its a very big folder, with contents I have collected over 12 years!).

Hi, unfortunately, taking over ownership of personal Google accounts' drive data is actually not possible. There is one workaround though: You can set up a Shared Drive on your Workspace account, and then invite your personal Google account as a member of that Drive. Then you can move files from the personal account to the Shared Drive. The final owner will then be the Shared Drive, not a person.

If you still require the gmail.com email address, then you can follow the Shared Drive workaround suggested by cryptochrome - recreating the gmail.com account's folder structure in a Shared Drive, then moving the files into the corresponding folder.

Yes, I have created a Shared Drive in my Workspace account, but Google won't let me move an entire folder into it (why Google??). The folder I need to move from my private gmail account to my Workspace account, is huge, with thousands of docs, images and videos, organized in many sub-folders. So that is the challenge...

Yes, MultCloud will be exactly what you need. It's super easy, and you can move everything at once. All folders in one go. Just select them all, click move, select destination, and it will start chugging away in the background for you. It doesn't get more simple than that. From my experience, it's also super reliable, I never had any issues with it.

If you follow the cross-domain file transfer via Shared Drive suggested by christiannewman, you can use the Transfer Files Ownership add-on for Google Drive or the webapp to recreate your folder structure on the destination shared drive: this operation is free.

Asana needs to integrate google drive better so that You can share a google drive folder. Not limit it to just sharing Documents. It would be a better approach than finding creating a link, sharing the link, and posting it to asana.

The Affinity Publisher folder is not visible in the iCloud Drive folder, though oddly I can save a document to said folder. With the document open using the Reveal in Finder menu command reveals the document with the following path: iCloud Drive > Affinity Publisher. Also, the folder is shown with the correct icon and name in its title bar - Affinity Publisher. Yet when navigating back up the folder path (iCloud Drive) is the folder not shown.

Cant figure out how to get the folder there to begin with, mine wants to save to Affinity Designer Folder. Tried resyncing Icloud and it shows that there should be a icloud section or folder i think but nothing shows in icloud.

However, I now have another issue since updating Designer, Photo and installing AP. The folders for Designer and Photo both have a blue Designer symbol now and if I turn Photo in iCloud off it'll take both, Designer and Photo away. While if I only turn off Designer It only takes Designer away...

This is somewhat of a problematic issue to save a file into a folder one cannot see - I know it's saved in the Mobile Documents folder, but not being able to see it doesn't fill me with confidence the file won't disappear.

On one of my Mac last night the Finder froze, unrelated to Publisher. Only way to relaunch it was to do a hard restart. Once back in the Publisher folder suddenly appeared in my iCloud Drive folder. With the correct icon no less.

On my iMac the Publisher offers me to access Affinity Publisher Beta folder (I own publisher since the beginning) but in my iCloud Library this folder is missing and cannot be found by any Finder paths. On the other hand, on my MacBook, Publisher offers me to access Affinity Publisher folder (open context menu), where all of my documents are stored. In my MacBook the Publisher Beta folder is nowhere to be found and vice versa and my data does not sync even if I tagged it, it looks like that the directory for this folders are not in the iCloud anymore...
