Is there a way to search newsgroups for previously answered questions?

I tried to find a 'forum' in the MSDN, but couldn't find it. Is there one?

Every once in a while I've got a simple question that I just know has been
answered a thousand times. It would be nice not to have to keep bugging the
rest of the group.

Greets,

You may want to try one of the web sites that does archival of past
newsgroup postings. http://www.deja.com/ is one that comes to mind.

One thing about Deja is that it's difficult to actually find the newsgroup
stuff on their page these days. Like so many other sites, they seem be
attempting to be all things to all people instead of focusing on the one
thing what they used to do best (news).

If you have trouble finding the newsgroup archives on at the Deja site,
search for the work "usenet" on their main page. There's a link there that
will take you to searching the newsgroups.

Greets,

Yes, it seems that Deja has gotten in to the Web marketing side of
things nowadays. The link to the usenet groups (as the page is today) is up
near the very top, but it is in small print. The other alternative is to
bookmark this link:

http://www.deja.com/usenet

I use a perl script called dejasearch, its easy, and best of all, you don't
have to wade through images, and ads and stuff.
Get it here.

or try it out here-
