I want to create a service that monitors for system events like startup,
shutdown and hibernate. I found one useful article on it at

but i dunno how to make it work. I install the service but when i stop it
the events are not received. Also i want to monitor for hibernate event. Can
anyone please help me in this regard? Thanks.
