Unable to start Microsoft update, Active X disabled

While trying to start Microsoft update, Unable to start Microsoft update
because Active X disabled....
On the bar above in the Internet 8 browser; it says right click, if I do it
continues to cycle back through and the dialog box reappears and ask to right
click again.... Would someone give me a clue to fix this problem?
