Working with sprites in VB

Id like to know how to work with sprites in VB if anybody knows.

Under Win95 you are already using the 32-bit prototypes. WinG is just a
wrapper that only helps in Win32s Environments where the operating system
is not yet 32-bit. WinG is slower than conventional GDI32 Calls.

My advice would be to implement various versions of the Bitblt function.
And then maybe learn some of the intricacies of DirectX
