I know about the DrawEdge API function to draw raised / lowered borders
around rectangular containers and shapes , but is it possible to give a
raised / lower border to round , elliptical or other irregular shapes? For
instance , how do we create an effect like the one provided in the oval
buttons on the Office Assistant window (gets raised and highlighted on
Mouse Over) ?

Thanks.

There are different styles of 3D. If you can get by with just one dark line
and one light line, try this:

Draw the shap 3 times. Draw it first in your hightlight color, then move
down and right 2 pixels and draw the shadow color, then move up and left 1
pixel and draw your shape.
